The formulas captioned above are used in text string in Excel. These are very useful in Microsoft Excel.
TRIM removes all spaces from a text string except for single spaces between words.
UPPER converts a text string to all uppercase letters
LOWER converts all letters in a text string to lowercase.
PROPER converts a text string to proper case; the first letter in each word in uppercase and all other letters to lowercase.
Here is the examples of the above formulas of excel
The formula of TRIM is =TRIM(text);
text is the text from which you want to remove spaces
A4 is the text in which there are many spaces between the phrase, after pressing enter you will get the text in which extra spaces will be removed.
In the same way Iíll use the formula UPPER
The formula of UPPER is =UPPER(text)
After pressing enter you will get the phrase having all letters in uppercase.
Now Iíll use lower in the same example
The formula of LOWER is =LOWER(text)
After pressing enter you will get the phrase in lowercase.
Now Iíll use PROPER in which the text will come in proper case.
The formula of PROPER is =proper(text)
After pressing enter you will the phrase in proper case.
