Excel Tips Tutorial: How to Remove Formula Error-Checking Smart Tags
Excel analyzes the formulas you enter into each cell. If Excel detects something wrong or inconsistent with a formula you have entered, an error Smart-Tag will appear in the top-left of the cell. There are times when these error Smart-Tags can be a nuisance. To remove formula error-checking Smart Tags follow the steps below:
Step 1: Click on File > Options. The Excel Options dialog box will appear.
Step 2: Select the Formulas tab in the left part of the Excel Options dialog box.
Step 3: Under Error Check, uncheck the box that says “Enable background error checking”
